Welcome to LMC!

Basics
LMC is a gaming community dedicated to reaching the heights of teamwork and tactics. LMC stands for "Laurus Manus Concordia", latin for 'Victory through Teamwork/Tactics'. We are a well organized and well run group with large goals.

At the moment, we recruit for many games, our strongest being: Insurgency (a tactical Half-Life 2 mod), Project Reality (a tactical Battlefield 2 mod), and Day of Defeat Source. We also regularly play (and are recruiting for): America's Army 3, Resistance and Liberation, & Red Orchestra. We are always looking to expand into other tactical shooter games, so whether you play Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, or any other tactical FPS, you have a place among us!

Tactics
We are dedicated to training and innovating in the realm of tactical excellence. We work together as a team to accomplish our goals, and we aim to be at the top of competition brackets by means of tactical creativity and coordination. We are focused on bringing strategic satisfaction to our members by developing an atmosphere where teamwork comes first and new ideas are welcome.

Honor
We live by a code of conduct that emphasizes respect, benevolence, and maturity. We support each other in setting the best example while still having fun. Our code of respect cuts out the drama and flame wars found in other communities. We expect the best from people, but we don't abandon them when they are struggling. We support each-other and simply request growth and effort, understanding that no-one is perfect and it is unrealistic to expect everyone to embody the ideals we hold dear. As long as members try, and grow, they have won respect.

Organization
LMC is organized for simplicity. Our community is administrated by a council of leaders (all decisions voted unanimously, ensuring compromise) instead of by a dictator. LMC is owned by the community, and led by a council of competent and diverse leaders who know how to cooperate and truly care about the members.

Growth
LMC may seem like a new face, and that's because it is. LMC is the result of gamers wanting a peaceful community, and that is what we have here. We have already proved our resilience, and now that we are so settled and rock-solid, we are ready for fast growth and we have plans to expand indefinitely. Join now to get in on the excitement!

Competition News:
The LMC community team is still in the ESL ladder, and so any officer or member can organize a time to play a ladder match. Remember that an officer must be present. If you want to get things moving there, post a sign-up sheet and if we get 5 people to commit (one an officer) who are all signed-up on the ESL team, then I'll schedule the match!

Department of Development kicking into gear:
I (KauaiBoi) am now head of the Department of Development and am going to begin a few marketing and video developments to help get our name out there. If you have any skills in video, digital art, fine arts, or other multimedia development experience, talent, or even interest... then I'm sure I can find a way for you to help-out and maybe learn some things too.
Upcoming projects are:
-Marketing videos and images,
-Branding revision and improvement,
-Edited competition coverage (like 2v2 pistol tourney to start) and commentary,
-Web site re-design, and more.
If you would like to be a part of any of these developments just PM me via the forums and I'll put you in the department... as soon as we begin on a project I'll PM everybody in the department and start organizing development teams.

Teamwork:
Teamwork is an integral part of not only how we play, but also how we work. Please help out anyway you can, whether it be joining an LMC Department to help-out on projects, assisting the leaders in operations, raising morale, participating in a team, or donating to help support the servers and community overhead costs.
