Yea that's great.  However, being people as people are, exercising ones constitutional rights and exercising ones constitutional rights responsibly are two wholly different things.  How much gun violence exists in this country?  A lot.  People love their instruments of death.  They also love the money and power that comes along with it.

So you're implying that gun owners cause the overall gun violence in the country? I don't think so...The tyrants with all their power will continue their ongoing quests trying to take our firearms away. IMO with all these do-gooders and safety Sallys it won't be very long until we have lost our second amendment completely. People now adays see firearms and think of death....

They can take the firearms away from all the law abiding citizens and the criminals will still have theirs.

Hey and while they're at it, take away cars, they kill people. Oh, and don't forget cigarettes, they kill people too...

You just seemed to disregard the point of what I was saying and went the way "They took our jobs" route.  Criminals with guns make more of an destructive impact than those responsible enough to use them.  People kill people.  In the 21st century, people will continue to kill people on a larger scale.  It's human nature right now to kill each other and look out for ourselves only.  I am not trying to take away your right to bear firearms.  All I am saying is that it's kind of crazy how easy it is to get a gun and how often people get killed from the use of them in this country, accidental or otherwise.

Seems to me that a lot of gun manufacturers are just using our second amendment right to mass produce weapons not only for our responsible citizens, but for war mongers across the world, criminals with negative intent, and cartels for the continued use in their wars across the border.

I wonder if Charles Heston died with a fully loaded arsenal of a coffin.  We should raid that muck.

Oh and we should tax the heck out of cigarettes to help offset the huge medical costs from the use of.  Make a pack like 20 bucks from now and go from there.

My sentiments as well. People get drunk and do stupid things... give them guns and i's exponential. I too feel that the government needs to be kept in check and feel pressure from the people. But I don't want to live in a western movie. lol  I guess I just wish there were less stupid people (and by stupid I mean angry, violent, prejudiced, and apathetic).
