saturday night on insmod was awesome!! but yeah, arma3 night gathering happening right NOW!

please - to avoid confusion post the games selected for the weekend on the forums.. rn we have 3 people playing men of war, 2 on heroes & generals and a few people playing idk what, the goal of the events is still to have everyone on the same server

Like Omni said, game night has been successful in that regard.  I kinda think its impossible to pigeonhole everyone into playing the same game haha, as everyone usually is in a different mood. I know I dont want to play INS or ARMA when I get back from work. I'm glad we've at least all been getting together.

But we have people playing together and chatting together, I think the essence of lmc games night is successful in that regard.

It would probably be a better idea to just try to wrestle people into the game of choice after they have assembled in teamspeak.

Well game night Insurgency Mod. Inf. 10/11/14 was some great old times for a few of the LMC wearing players. Ofaceswife showed ZenPhire and myself. We had a blast along with great group of the public players showing up and playing along too. When we had the three LMC working together on a team we owned the rest through our team work.

That is the truth behind the tag LMC "Victory Through Teamwork- Larus Manus Concordia" I feel we have a few potential recruits of the players who showed and join in the fun with us LMC attendees. :)

It went like this I was recording some of the pistol action from late night in the server here is a link to show the fun times. I edited it to a 5:31 minute Video to show how much fun everyone missed please review this and see for yourselves.

Right, so i guess it's official

This weekend on LMC game nights:

Saturday - Insurgency modern infantry combat

yes

it's the mod

awwyeah back to the roots! :)
[...]
*other info regarding the games/mods*

Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat is THE game, or well, a mod actually, from which it all started, it is the roots from which everything LMC is today came from, it features the classic insurgency maps such as sinjar, almaden, baghdad, hillah and many others.

It is by far one of the best games i have ever played.

INSMOD download is free from steam and can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/17700/0000005294.1920x1080.jpg?t=1403289091

I'm willing to set aside some time to give a crash course to anyone wanting to learn how to play this game or refresh their skills any others who want to help give some skill based tutoring is welcome to assist, or teach me also. Maybe saturdays time can be more skill based learning as well.

I will be available this evening my time, U.S. PST to do this I also have to check with a server owner yet whether we can use their assets to do this.

I appreciate the open attitude of Evoke to make this happen, It may be a little too soon and I will advise when I have do more coordination on the server use. I don't have the ability to host a server through my system and internet speed.

Maybe someone else can do this and get a server in LMC hands officially.  :) ;D ;D

We have use of a server in the evenings and at beck and call in the future the full support of its owner.

We will be able to lock if we need.

The password will be given later as needed.

Game on. ;D

Sunday - ArmA3

as usual either inquire about the modpack from corban or we can all get on Breaking Point if so desired

and if we should decide to play Breaking Point instead of corban's modpack then...

Breaking Point is an awesome arma3 mod, while yes, it is a zombie mod that has its roots in DayZ it is very different from it, for starters it's not as broken and optimized far better than IMO DayZ will probably ever be

breaking point features: classic slow zombies approximately a few hundred of them per square km (unlike DayZ's 2-3 fast zombies/sq km), vehicles, factions, character progression, construction and LOTS of PVP

I'm all for it if you can get people to actually download it and install it.  I agree with zen that it may be a type of struggle trying to do get together a successful WAR, but it could be worth the effort?

I'm supportive of anything that brings us together, chatting and gaming and having a great time.  If you need an extra body for this, please let me know. I may not play, but I would love to show support!

Thank you Evoke,

I included a link for the download purposes, I think it will have to be in the future before we can include this as a game night selection. It would be good for those who have never played to get some practice in game.

i'm ok with insmod :D for the old times sake.. and everyone that doesn't have ins standalone can get the mod (yay for free stuff!) and join us

I think I could set up a WAR for old times sake but i fear no one would show. If there is a demand i will be there, but for now i think i'll stick with ins and arma 3. INS is just so much better imho. dont get me wrong i have mad respect for the mod. still love it. but thats whay i love ins, has everything but the original maps. (and many of those are ported actually, as customs) I'd like to see ro2 in the mix before insmod i think. But like i said, i would participate in an insmod WAR. =)

I not asking for this to happen next just sometime soon, maybe before or after it's too late. Please respond to this Zen your post count is a little creepy...lol
