Battlefield 3 Xbox
« on: February 17, 2012, 03:06:32 pm »
After pre ordering BF3 and  being broke and confused which is normal for me. I had this moment were i realized i would not be getting it for my PC. Since that would require the investment in a new video card again back to the broke part. About being broke down to 4 kids and my mother in law living with me wife not getting paid BROKE. So since i had already put money into it I went with BF3 for the XBOX 360 no money for the expansion pack but loving it so much more than Modern Warfare. Here is the moment i was sold on BF3  I was finnalling sniping  at night I had him in my sights. Bang I watched the bullet drop way short, then i realized you have to adjust for distance like you would in real life. Now for those that bitch about this and that I use the m-60 yeah yeah machine gun is my baby and with the grip attachment there is little movement except up. No real movement side to side as it should be as you fire a real weapon. But it was not until i started unlocking crap for my weapons that i fell in love with the game. I am a PC gamer at heart  but with being broke and having a 360 handy I am adjusting to it. I will try and save up some money to get the map pack. But until then my gamer tag on the xbox 360 is G3nDragon   add me and i will play when i can...... Loving talking and playing real squad tactics since everyone else on there is a pub player and too stupid to realize that tactics and talking  make my squads number one on almost every map i am on with fellow players with mics. Not always about the best shot but about covering lanes of fire and a claymore or two hehe...   again GAMER TAG ON XBOX   G3nDragon  with the caps and yes i am wearing LMC tags  in game

So sad, wish I could play with you, but I don't have $ for console. =P Glad to hear you are loving it though. =) One day we'll find a way to get you a modern gaming rig!

Which reminds me!!! I still really want to do some older PR version fun night! PR.3 or .5   ... they are so much fun, PR but more action oriented and less logistic nightmare. We should set something up! =)

NO NO NO lol, that's the point of playing on the older versions, more fun and killer action. =) They are the best blend for infantry action IMHO. .3 was the first and is very similar to Vanilla except for the realistic damage scale, more restricted kits, and realistic hud (like no crosshairs). Very fun action. And .5 is a good middle ground between the amped logistic craziness of the recent versions and the simplicity of .3! Great for simple fun.

I just found the original thread for this idea and brought it to life again:

And I officially hate xbox again. Well i was starting to love BF3 on the xbox and then to my horror scratches appeared on my disc take 8 tries to load into a match and then if it is subway it freezes and guess what when i restart it I get to start all over with the 8 retries to play again. So sad and broke as always I hate discs. And before any one says hey why you not put it on the hard drive  cause my hard drive is the original small as muck xbox one.

He'd have to play it on low though. You know Gen, the cost of 3 xbox360 games is equal to the cost of upgrading your PC. ;) That's why I play PC (well, one more reason); the games are much less (except for a few that are relatively the same, like COD games or BF3). =)

You should really upgrade that sucker. I bet I could throw a build together for you that would be only $200 to upgrade.

In fact...

AMD build $185 before tax, free shipping:

Intel Sandy Bridge build $202 before tax + shipping:

Still a little pricier than I imagined but at least it will get you on the move. =)
And if you can afford another $100 you can get MUCH better!
