Server Admin Protocol

Server Admin Protocol

Using admin commands other than those approved here or using the approved commands in a way that violates protocol can result in loss of privileges.

New Member, Member, Sr. Member may only use:
Kick and temporary ban.

If someone requires a permanent ban for egregious violations, session ban and then post with proof or send a message with proof (screenshot, video, demo) to an officer. The offender's steam ID is generally logged when they are removed from the server.  We request this because although we may ban on your word, the ban could be lifted when an appeal is made if there is no proof.

Approved Actions:
Kick
Temporary ban
Map vote
Alltalk vote
Listen to enemy voice comm (only if there is no admin on the other team)
Talk to server (only to issue verbal warnings)

Permanent Bans: MUST BE REPORTED TO AN OFFICER OR POSTED ON THE FORUMS.  Otherwise, the ban may be rescinded and prompt further review.

Racism, extreme disrespect/ hostility, recruiting, or impersonating a member

1. Permanent ban

Hacking, exploiting/glitching

1. Permanent ban

May not ban for hacking and exploiting/glitching without proof which and MUST BE OBVIOUS.  If evidence is reviewed and not unanimously agreed upon without a reasonable doubt that the player in question was hacking, your admin privileges would come under review.  Admins may not accuse players of hacking until evidence is reviewed and you must have video evidence. Do not take action against an alleged cheater unless you are certain beyond a reasonable doubt. In cases of well established exploiting and glitching, then a screenshot may be enough proof.  In cases of suspected hacking (wallhacking, speed hacking, aimbotting) a demo is almost always the only acceptable proof.

Intentional mass tks or intentional spawn killing (please see our definitions)

1. Temporary ban
2. Permanent ban for serious offenses. Must send a message to an officer about permanent ban.

Disrespect, sexism, grotesque sexual material, excessive swearing

1. Warning
2. Temporary ban
3. Permanent ban on repeat offense. Must send a message to an officer about permanent ban.

Spawn exit killing (please see our definitions)

1. Verbal and written specific warning.
2. Kick on repeated offense or if no response to warnings. Send player reason.
3. Temporary ban, if necessary.
4. Permanent ban only by officer vote after reported.

Mic spamming

1. Mute at admin discretion.
2. If players ask mic spammers to stop, their request must be heeded.
2. May instead provide written warning, and after non-compliance, permanently ban only for serious offenses.

Using admin commands other than those approved here or using the approved commands in a way that violates protocol will likely result in an IMMEDIATE LOSS OF ADMIN. All admin actions are logged, we can do a simple search to see if anyone has broken protocol if we need to. SO DON'T BREAK PROTOCOL!!!

[attn]Members (NewMember, Member, SrMember) may only use:[/attn]
KICK (and) 10 MINUTE BAN

Some members have map vote/change permission too, if you have it you know who you are.  Do NOT use the switch team commands, or switch to spectator.  Do not use any commands that aren't the aforementioned KICK or 10 MINUTE BAN.  Violation = loss of admin for one month or whenever it is earned back.

If someone needs a permanent ban, give them a 10min ban and then make a quick post with proof or send a message with proof (screenshot, demo) to an Officer and it will be done.  The offender's steam ID is saved by SourceBans with the 10 minute ban. Although we may ban without proof on your word, the ban will be lifted in the case of an appeal if there is no proof.
