To obtain your Steam ID join a server in Insurgency (or any Half-Life 1/2 mod):
Hit your tilde key (`/~) located above "Tab" on most keyboards.
If no console appears, go into Settings>Keyboard>Advanced and check Enable Developer Console.
After hitting the tilde key, type "status" (no quotes) into console, and hit enter.
Find your player name and copy that line (with all the numbers and whatnot).
Make sure your copy worked and save it somewhere!
Steam IDs are similar to a social security number. Every Steam account has a unique copy.
