OGaT is a (currently in beta) free top-down shooter revolving around guards protecting items from thieves. There are several items on the map at the start, the thieves know what they're there for but the guards do not. Skulk in the shadows with a knife, wait for people to turn their backs on you, or shoot up the place with your AK. The gameplay is incredibly dynamic, as one of the key elements (being a thief game) is darkness. The guards have flashlights and there are light switches all over the place. Thieves have NVGs and can crawl through vents and windows. There is a class system, and much more is promised by the devs. I would recommend playing it and having a good time if you get the chance, its a small download and its runs great on toasters. I'll take some screens and post em here soon. If anyone wants to play this would be great with voip.
Its on Steam Greenlight
Ignore the voice, its the most recent video I could find:
Of Guards and Thieves I can find no shortage of good things to say about OGaT. Its got an incredibly simplistic control scheme yet the game itself is very intricate. The lighting effects are beautiful and the art style is great. I'm not going to stop playing it anytime soon.
