Magic: The Gathering
« on: July 22, 2014, 08:37:32 pm »
Hey everyone, I'm not quite sure if y'all know this but I'm a VERY avid MTG player. Been playing since I was 12 and haven't stopped since. I play mostly IRL with the homies but I've yet to find a good match up against me. Anyhow I wound up getting Magic:2014 and 2015 and I'm always looking for people to throw down. If anyone is interested I have M2014 and M2015 on Steam, Aswell as Magic:Online but I hardly play it. I also have Duels of the planewalkers and 2013 for XBL.

If someone is interested in learning to play or becoming a better player, get ahold of me and I can do some 1on1 tutoring.

every saturday at 1am-2am ill stop into mcdonalds with friends after a party or wutever to get a cheap snack.

I always see a group of the nerdiest guys with zits and suspenders playing. Along with this heavy set chick knitting something.

Nothing against the game but man, there are some funny people who play it nowadays.

I used to play it when I was young, and then again later with my housemates.  I stopped playing MTG when I realized the game was pay to increase chances of wining.  The odd fanbase is another reason playing MTG wasn't appealing to me.

Funny because they look different to you and do not follow the standards of the "norm".  Thanks White! I take this as a compliment.

Conformity and societal norms are boring as f*ck.

Honestly tho, you're preaching to the quire. I'm far from any trendy prep styles but i found it funny that there are still 80's stereotypical nerds roaming out there. Usually now they just rock the fedora, neckbeard and my little pony satchel

I got 2014. Used to play craploads as well when a kid. Gave collection (lots or 1st and 2nd and rares) to a cousin and he traded them for pokemon cards (still haven't forgiven that lol). Anyway, I don't have a custom deck there yet because I refuse to play. But I'm down for a friendly game. =) Also was thinking about creating an online card game similar to MTG, maybe we could brainstorm. ;)

Yes and yes! I've actually had a few ideas myself for a CCG when I was younger but perhaps it's worth going over?

Send me a game invite sometime, I picked it up but I still don't know how to play it.

It's super easy once you get the basics down, But I'd be happy to do a friendly one on one to show you the more advanced aspects of it.
