battlefield 2 v1.5 released

Over four years since Battlefield 2 launched comes the latest update, version 1.50 which is available to download NOW!

The 2Gb download includes one of the biggest list of changes since Battlefield 2 launched as well as new map by Bjorn Sundell, Operation Blue Pearl, both Armored Fury and Euro Force booster packs for FREE and Highway Tampa becoming a requirement giving EIGHT new maps that everyone will have and be able to play on ranked servers without worry of dropping out.

1. WIDESCREEN SUPPORT!
2. Added Euro Force and Armored Fury as free to play content for all Battlefield 2 players.

4. Allowed BF2.exe to use more than 2Gb RAM
5. Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".
6. Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model.
7. Occasional connection drops after being on a server a couple of minutes - Fixed
8. Players can now pass claymores by going prone
9. Updated the F35B's lock delay to 1 second instead of 1.5 seconds to match other aircraft
10. Increased the splash damage of the UH-60 (Black Hawk) guns from 0.25 to 1.5

You know it would be even better if the free content actually WAS the expansion pack for Battlefield 2. I have Battlefield 2: Special Forces which I got a long time ago and I can't install the god damn thing (I blame vista). Yet I just released that pretty much, I don't like this game at all anymore. I grow really tired of the runway griefing (which I do know they put checks on it for 1.5) and the piffing diving! This isn't Max Payne! I guess I'm just used to DoD:S and CoD 4 where you can't do it. Personally I think that prone aim adjustment thing is too short, they need to make it like a half a second longer. IMO making it like 1.5 seconds is the difference between a crouching shot and a prone shot. I'd rather crouch.

I'm thinking about downloading PR but if I see any of that diving shot bullmuck its automatically being deleted. And that's what really grinds my gears, thank you guys!

actually the 1.5 patch piffed up the prone diving in PR. now its hardcoded to vBF2 values for prone dive.. its not as rampant but people do it and its piffing lame.

kinda love the black hawk's 1.5 splash damage (in bf2 not PR).. the guns are actually useful now xD

I hope you guys Warn\kick\ban for prone diving. Its completely unskillful. I mean shooting while prone is fine but going prone EVERYTIME you see someone is just piffing annoying and noobish.

I still dont notice better hitboxes in bf2, but i like the euro force add.

Hey Limited, that's why whenever I play BF2 and I come around a corner and someone quickly goes prone expecting me to miss them. I just simply jump behind them and nail them from the back. I do this so much when I play I just expect people to go prone. Prolly why I got banned from TG

There wasn't anything to do with prone diving. You had a HAT, you didn't ready it in time, the APC shot at you, you bunnyhopped and then killed the APC. On password night
