Looking for Music Enthusiasts
« on: August 23, 2010, 05:35:45 am »
Hey everyone, I currently have a big focus into music and pretty much everything around it, right now I have some thoughts and what not going through my head but I wanna talk to some people that are really into music. Doesn't matter what type of music or anything really, I just wanna get peoples thoughts and brainstorm with people. So if anyone is interested in getting together with me and help me brainstorm and get your thoughts that would be great.

Just leave a post on here or send me a PM.

Thanks,

-YoUrWoRsT

So this isn't to bump an old thread, but I'm not sure if I ever shared the music I produced from back around the time this thread was created.

For those interested here they are:

http://www.box.net/shared/4sjt3t1zju
**They're only instrumentals

Don't judge them by their titles, such as 'Country Song', even if you hate country, give it a shot.

Suggestions, Comments, and Opinions are appreciated, Good or Bad :)

The rock one was pretty good.

I absolutely LOVE all of them. I generally can't stand country. But now I'm thinking I just don't like country SINGERS and lyrics lol. You should really join the Dept of Development. I would love you to be head sound engineer on any LMC projects. Brilliant stuff!

Haha, I can't say I agree with you "ZenPhire" (Lol thats going to need some getting use to), I'm proud that I actually ended up putting some together, but I don't think all of them are that great.

Well you are tough critic then. Could I tear them apart and nit pick at what synth sounds don't compose as well with the others, sure... could I Point out places where consistency is lost in each one, sure. But what you have is a sample pack, a testing of sounds and rhythm in certain genres. And you did that well. Very well. =)
What's your process? Compose from a library? Midi on keys? What DAW? You use Sonar, FL, Audigy, Audition, etc?

Dude, sweetness!  I really enjoyed the beat with synth sample.  It was a nice beat man.  Really good work!  I didn't realize we had such talent within our midst.   8)

@Kauai, I'm always a tough critic on my own productions. My personal opinion is Country Song I like the best, and it actually was my first song I put together, it's a tad repetitive, but it all flows together nicely, there's a spot towards the beginning of the song that has some bass in it, which I should have made it a bit louder.

I used FL and Mixcraft, some are samples mixed and edited together and other's are hand placed notes.

@Omni, I like the "Beat with Synth" more than the one without, adds a little more... spice? to it.
