AA Server

A lot of people have been asking about getting an America's Army server.  Right now, it's not likely to happen.  Here are the prices from gameservers.com (the provider of our Ins and DODS server):


Until we have more activity in AA (and more donations) it's too much of a financial burden at the moment in my opinion.

$40 a month for a 10 person server on a muckty game? Ok I know some people like it... Just my opinion. Is that fee, the sole funding for the American army or something?

Nope, none of that money goes to AA.  I think the game improves once you get over the large learning curve.  I'm looking forward to a year from now for AA 3.

None of the funding goes to AA? But the servers must be rented off them originally... Or some sort of licensing fee. Whatever. Point is, its piffing expensive. Ya I have tried playing it... I really dislike the control... It seems awkward.

Nope, there's no licensing fee.  Valve doesn't make money off of source servers and whatnot.  I'm getting used to the controls, you will too if you give it a chance, loll.

If anyone can find the server files etc. I will set up a small AA server like our INS practice server. That way we can play around, and use AA for training as well.
