I threw together a AMD fx-6300 6 core vishera at 3.6GHz, radeon 7870 GHz edition, 8GB ripjaw, 650 rosewill hive PSU, coolermaster haf 912 case, and just some 60$ am3+ mobo. Oh, and a 1TB 7200rpm hardrive.
Umm first of all, you never wanna go cheapo for your MB you WILL  regret it later, and I reccomend atleast a 800w PS.

800w is overkill for that system. Please do some research before posting about powersupplies in the future. Also if you do not plan on overclocking a cheap $50 micro atx board will suffice just fine.

Even so you can find cheap micro atx boards with great overclocking abilities.

I would recommend an 800W for that system actually.

Please do explain. EDIT: my system only draws sightly less power than that one, and I only need a 550w. So again I see 800w as overkill. 650w would support a 7970 in that system even. PLus cards in the future are going to use LESS power, so upgrading won't be a problem.
